As one of the oldest established medical traditions, Chinese herbal medicine looks to treat the root causes of a disorder. Instead of addressing the symptoms or a disease in particular, we look to find what patterns of disharmony are leading to the symptoms. From our pattern selection we then pick the specific amount of each herb that we will put into a formula. Our herbs are selected both for their energetic properties and for their pharmacological actions. Each herb is selected to function as a part of a whole, making the formula of multiple herbs a more precise decoction that addresses much more than just the current symptoms. Combining our clinical experience treating modern health ailments with the wisdom of medicine used for thousand of years, we have specifically formulated these products to address that issues we see most commonly.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a compound found in cannabis that has significant medical benefits. Unlike THC, CBD does not have any psychoactive properties (so no, you won’t get “stoned”). CBD is able to activate the endocannabinoid system (ECS) which regulates a variety of cognitive and physiological processes.

A growing body of research supports CBD’s potential as a treatment for a wide range of conditions, including arthritis, diabetes, alcoholism, MS, chronic pain, schizophrenia, PTSD, depression, antibiotic-resistant infections, epilepsy, and other neurological disorders. CBD has demonstrable neuroprotective and neurogenic effects, and its anti-cancer properties are currently being investigated at several academic research centers in the United States and elsewhere. Further evidence suggests that CBD is safe even at high doses.

Our extraction method is based on an alchemical art called Spagyrics. This word was coined by Paracelsus in the 1500's to describe the extraction, purification and recombination of plant constituents. This method later led to the birth of many modern day pharmaceuticals.

By employing both an alcohol and mineral extraction, we create more bio-available forms of naturally derived vitamins and nutrients. We only use organic alcohol and distilled water to extract a full spectrum of compounds including the alkaloids, carbohydrates, terpenes, vitamins and minerals from the starting material.

Cannabidiol can inhibit the cytochrome P450 system’s ability to metabolize certain drugs, leading to an overall increase in processing times. When the CYP450 system is impacted in this way, it leads to higher levels of certain drugs in your system at one time. If you are taking a medication affected by cannabidiol, you should consult your doctor to make sure that it is safe for you to supplement your personal care routine with CBD. From there, the two of you may consider adjusting the dosage on your medications so that you can use both products safely.
